Business Use of Home

To calculate business use of home expenses, please let us know the following information for the year:

Area of your home used for business. Include only heated and electrified spaces. (For example, a garden shed in the back yard would not be included.)
Total area of your home, including basement

If you run a daycare in your home, we also need:

Number of hours per day you are open
Number of days per week you are open
Number of weeks per year you are open
To calculate the portion used for the dayhome, we also need to know if there is a set area of your home that is exclusively for dayhome use, meaning you and your family don’t use the space when the dayhome is closed. Please let us know the area for any shared use.
